Word for Windows
graphics saved using Insert -> Object are not supported.
Embedded and linked graphics
are now supported in Word 97, 2000, XP, and 2003 source files for conversion.
All DIB Pattern Brushes
(Bitmap fill patterns) are mapped to a dithered gray
pattern corresponding to the bitmap density.
Fast Saved Word files are now
supported. Templates (.dot documents) are not converted.
Microdocs
are not supported in Word for Windows. When a microdoc is
created in a source file's native tool, such as
Interleaf, a multiline element is created inside a
graphic frame. The WMF specification does not support a
multiline element, such as a microdoc. Single line text
flows are the closest thing to a microdoc; therefore
microdocs are converted to single line text flows.
Since, when converting to
Word, Filtrix converts graphics to WMF format, graphic
text conversions are subject to the limitations
of WMF text. WMF text does not allow special characters,
including accented characters. Instead, they are
converted to unaccented characters.
